British History CSS Syllabus 2026 & 2027

FPSC CSS British History Subject Syllabus

CSS British History Syllabus carries 100 marks as part of Group IV of the CSS optional subjects — History — which includes History of Pakistan and India, Islamic History and Culture, European History, and History of USA as set in the CSS Examination by FPSC. The CSS British History syllabus covers the British Empire from its origins through the industrial revolution, the two World Wars, decolonization, and modern Britain up to the late twentieth century — with specific emphasis on British rule in the Indian subcontinent and its impact on Pakistan. Group IV requires candidates to select only one 100-mark subject, and British History stands out for its well-structured syllabus and predictable examination pattern across recent years. Candidates choosing between Group IV history subjects can compare all five options on the full CSS optional subjects syllabus page before finalizing their combination.
