CSS European History Syllabus carries 100 marks as part of Group IV of the CSS optional subjects — History — which includes History of Pakistan and India, Islamic History and Culture, British History, and History of USA. The CSS European History syllabus covers the Renaissance, Reformation, the French Revolution, the industrial revolution, the two World Wars, the Cold War, and modern Europe from 1945 onward. Group IV requires candidates to select only one 100-mark subject, making European History the most searched history optional in the entire CSS examination and a direct competitor to four other history papers for a single slot in a candidate’s combination. Candidates choosing between Group IV history subjects can compare all five options on the full CSS optional subjects syllabus page before finalizing their combination.
