History of USA CSS Syllabus FPSC-PDF — 2026 & 2027

FPSC CSS History of USA Syllabus

CSS History of USA Syllabus carries 100 marks as part of Group IV of the CSS optional subjects — History — which includes History of Pakistan and India, Islamic History and Culture, British History, and European History. Group IV requires candidates to select only one 100-mark subject, so History of USA competes directly with four other history papers for a single slot in a candidate’s optional subject combination. The CSS History of USA syllabus covers American independence, the Civil War, the industrial era, the two World Wars, the Cold War, and US foreign policy from 1945 to the present. Candidates from political science, international relations, and social sciences backgrounds select this subject for its overlap with Current Affairs and International Relations optional papers. Candidates choosing between Group IV history subjects can compare all five options on the full CSS optional subjects syllabus page before finalizing their combination.
