FPSC CSS IndoPak History Syllabus

CSS History of Pakistan and India carries 100 marks as part of Group IV of the CSS optional subjects — History — which includes Islamic History and Culture, British History, European History, and History of USA. The CSS History of Pakistan and India syllabus, set by FPSC — Federal Public Service Commission — under the Central Superior Services examination rules, covers the Pakistan Movement, partition of 1947, constitutional and political history of Pakistan, and the history of the Indian subcontinent from the Mughal period through British colonial rule. Group IV requires CSS aspirants to select only one 100-mark subject from five options, and History of Pakistan and India is consistently selected by CSS aspirants from history, political science, and social sciences backgrounds for its strong thematic overlap with Pakistan Affairs — a CSS compulsory paper every aspirant sits. CSS aspirants choosing between Group IV history subjects can compare all five options on the full CSS optional subjects syllabus page before finalizing their combination.
